As of early 2002, the company had sold more that 19 million airline tickets to online buyers since its founding in 1996. Headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, Travelocity.com provides reservation services for 700 airlines, 50 car rental companies, and 50,000 hotels. This e-commerce company also offers tour packages and travel magazines, as well as luggage and other sundries—articles that a traveler might need while on vacation or a business trip.
